Employee motivation Types
Any organization needs to understand
that all the employees are not similar. They are individuals with different
capacities and attitudes. Effectively
motivating your employees will need to achieve a better understanding of the
different types and ways of motivation needed.
Organizations need to develop HR
development strategies to categorize your employees and apply the right type of
motivation to increase the level of employee engagement and
employee level of satisfaction.
Some employees respond well to
intrinsic motivation, others may respond to extrinsic motivation.
Employee motivation is of two types
01.Intrinsic motivation
Intrinsic motivation means that an
individual is motivated from themselves. He or she has the desire to perform
well at the workplace because the results are in accordance with his/her
attitudes system.
An individual’s deep beliefs are
usually the highest motivational factors. Such individuals show common
qualities like acceptance, curiosity, honor, and desire to achieve success.
02.Extrinsic motivation
Extrinsic motivation means an individual’s motivation is
stimulated by external factors. The rewards and recognition by the organization.
Therefore, some people may never be motivated internally, and only external
motivation would work with them to get the achievements.
Although we are motivated by imany factor s, employee benefits and perks are major consern.

Of course salary and allowance will play a major role. But we cannot forget the other external factors such as working culture and psychological safety..
